Rain venue: Masonic Lodge, FM 969, Webberville, TX

Bring a dish to share. We’ll provide paper plates, utensils, cups, water and ice as well as tables and
chairs.

What We have Planned
Cookbook:
Between now and April 1, please go through your old recipes - those that have been handed down from generation to generation - and send them to us at hornsbytapestry@aol.com. We want to put together a little cookbook to include in our “goody bag” that we’ll be handing out. If you’re able, you might also pick that same recipe to use for your dish that you bring. rememBer: deadline April 1.

A Piece of Our Heritage:
Do you have an item handed down from your ancestors or something you’ve made that depicts or honors your heritage? Please bring your items to share with the family. Attach a note telling who it belonged to or something about it along with your name. We’ll put them on display.
This might be a kitchen item belonging to your great- grandmother, a saddle your ancestor used, toys your grandmother played with or something you have made.

Activities:
Visiting - isn’t that what a reunion is all about!
However, we know that a lot of the youngsters would like to have something else to do. We’ll have activities and games available for them and hopefully teach them something about our family at the same time. For those that have never been to the family cemetery, it is completely fenced so there’s no chance of our littleones wandering away.We may even have a surprise or two!

What We have Planned
RSVP: Please let us know if you’re coming. We want to have name tags and a “goody bag” available for everyone - but if you decide at the last minute to be there - come on over! We’ll have enough available to accommodate everyone and we definitely want you there!
Photo: We plan to have a photographer available to take a Family Reunion photo. It would be great if we could have one with all the family!

Raffle:
While we’ve celebrated Reuben Hornsby and his achievements on many occasions in the past, we’d like to honor Sarah this time along with our Scots ancestry. The pioneer women have received little recognition in our history books but we all owe a huge debt to the fortitude of these women.
We’ll have four lovely wool tartan scarves to raffle off after lunch. Sarah Morrison's parents were Nancy McDuffie and Alexander Malcolm Morrison and grandparents John McDuffie and Flora McDonald. McDuffie is a part (sept) of the McPhie Clan. Her husband was Alexander Malcolm Morrison. We’ll have a tartan in each of these Clan Tartans: McPhie, MacDonald/McDonald, and Morrison. Because the McLaurins are a large part of the ancestry of many of our Hornsby descendants, a McLaren/McLaurin/McLauren tartan scarf will be raffled as well. If you’ve not had the opportunity to wear Scottish wool, you’ll be delighted to see the material these are made of. It is feels more like a cotton/silk blend than a wool. It is lightweight and incredibly warm. They are suitable for both men and women. The tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. You need not be present to win.

We may even have a surprise or two!
